Aluminum Brass

Aluminum Brass:

It is a mixture of Copper
77.5%, Zinc 20.5% and 2% aluminum. The Aluminum increases corrosion resistance.

Aluminum brass tubes are highly received and one of the extensively used material for a variety of industrial applications. This alloy develops a shielding film that has self-healing properties. This film is dependent on oxygen, which is absorbed in the water and does not resume itself in polluted or stagnant water. High resistance to corrosion in clean seawater or in land conditions is complicated.

Aluminum Brass tubes confront the action of high velocity salt and brackish water. The outstanding quality of this alloy is its superior confrontation to impingement attack.
High strength combine with good general corrosion resistance and low sensitivity to stress corrosion cracking of aluminum brass tubes make it a highly favored material for load bearing masonry fixings.

In case, the brass tubes are used in hard drawn situation, or if they have been rigorously cold worked through swaging or bending in assembly, they should usually to be heat treated to ensure freedom from stress corrosion cracking.Alluminum is added further to high copper brass for enhanced corrosion resistance. It is particularly used for condenser tubes.

Alluminum brass tubes are suggested for land power station and marine applications, where cooling water velocities are high. The exterior and stain resistance of aluminum brass makes it a material of choice for decorative architectural features.
